New Jersey is now the 14th state that is now allowing the use of medical marijuana.
New Jersey does not intend to follow in the footsteps of California where the drug is basically dectrimalized, but feel making criminals out of the terminally ill is certainly not the answer.

The New Jersey Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act was passed by lawmakers in the House and Senate this week. Gov. Jon Corzine plans to sign the legislature into law sometime next week. Patients are allowed to obtain and possess medical cannabis for the following diseases: cancer glaucoma seizure/spasticity disorders Lou Gehrigs disease multiple sclerosis muscular dystrophy HIV/AIDS Inflammatory Bowel diseas and any disease that a doctor determines will kill the patient within a year. Medical marijuana patients are not allowed to grow cannabis plants under this law.
