Which sewing accessories are used in sewing?

Hello and thank you for your question. There are many accessories used in the craft of sewing. In hand sewing you simply would use a needle and thread, soft tape measure, pins and a thimble to protect your thumb and don't forget scissors.
When sewing with a machine you would of course need a sewing machine, needles made for that machine and the material you are sewing, material, thread, scissors, soft tape measure, tailors chalk for marking parts of a pattern on the material, a pattern, pins, seam ripper for correcting mistakes made when sewing and optional things such as zippers, buttons, lace, beads and sequin or gems for decorating.
You will also need knowledge on how to sew which you learn by going to many sites on the internet such as: http://www.which.co.uk/home-and-garden/laundry-and-cleaning/guides/beginners-guide-to-using-a-sewing-machine/ which is for beginners and then there is http://www.sewcity.com/ which is another great site to learn from. You can also visit your local library to check out some books on the subject as well.
