Which scholarly readings resonate well with "A Grain of Wheat" by Ngugi wa Thiongó?

Tip for best answer: M$3.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I haven't read Grain of Wheat--just Weep Not Child and Petals of Blood. I have read about it though, and would probably suggest any of Frantz Fanon's writings to go with it: Wretched of the Earth would be a good start. Fanon was a philosopher from Martinique, whose works influenced anti-colonial movements around the world.
