Basically all models available now should be the slim models and the only main difference between them is hard drive size. Try to get the model with the largest hard drive if you plan on downloading lots of stuff from the Playstation Network Store. Take note that there are Playstation 3 games that take advantage of in-game installations before you can play them, so a large hard drive will come in handy here.
Of course, you can also go with bundles to get more value. If that is what you’re after, I would be on the lookout for bundles that come packaged with the Playstation 3 Move. This is Sony's new motion sensing controller and it seems Sony will be throwing in quite a few resources to support this peripheral so it will be a good thing to own one.
