Which Philip K Dick stories have been made into movies or television series? Which one is your favourite?

Sometimes the movies from his stories are very different to the films - Total Recall would be the best example of this. In that case it worked, and with visually stunning technique.

Which one is his best?
Can you think of other stories by Dick that would make great movies?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

A few years ago they came out with a film version of "A Scanner Darkly" as well. I can't say I enjoyed the adaptation, as it seemed far more concerned with visual "cool" then the substance of the story. Some other stories turned into books were "Impostor" and "Screamers", both of which I found to be pretty lackluster. I feel "Blade Runner" and "Total Recall" are the two adaptations that actually at least came close to the spirit of Dick's writing.

This site lists a number of the movies that have been based on Philip K. Dick's stories:

A variety of films have been made based on Dick's stories, including (as you said) Total Recall, Blade Runner, Minority Report and Paycheck. Personally, I think the all-around best and most influential out of those is Blade Runner, a commentary on the effects of technology on society, portraying a dystopian Los Angeles.
