Which offers a better art community? MyArtPlot, DeviantArt, or Saatchi? Anyone here have any experience with all of them? Thanks!

MyArtPlot is more professional and more supportive. DeviantArt is much larger. Saatchi is is a bit weird, seems to have only the Saatchi name to back it up. Anyone have any feedback?? Thanks!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I guess that depends on what type of community you're looking for. I've only used Deviantart personally. Its community is more like a social network then an art critique site. this is because its historically not been set up well to differentiate between someone posting for fun and someone posting because they want to improve. Most people that tried to leave thoughtful comments often found themselves attacked by people who didn't want there advice.

They have introduced a feature in the last month where you can opt in for critiques of individual pieces of art. They've made them much different then regular comments which tend to be pretty shallow on deviantart by setting up rules and guidelines for them, but its too new to see how much use they'll be.

But if your looking for a place to post art and just have fun discussions with other artists Deviantart is a great place. If your looking for someplace with more serious critiques, your going to have to put more effort into getting that out of deviantart then just putting up art. I've heard you can get good critiques if you post in there forums looking for it but I've never tried.

My advice if your looking for serious tips on how to improve your art is to find smaller art communities that are dedicated to the style of art your interested in.
