ZZ Top is without a doubt the longest running band with all its original members. Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard have been playing music together since 1969 and still, to this day, continue to play their music and tour.
This month, The Rolling Stones announced that they will be releasing an album by pianist Ben Waters honoring Ian Stewart. Tour dates are expected after the release of this album.
Aerosmith is also currently recording an album set to release this year. Tour dates are also expected after the release.
As for Foghat, they are still playing and have tour dates set all over the US for the next couple of months.
Dozens of older bands continue to play together and still play their most original songs. Bands like U2, The Rolling Stones, Journey, Heart, Foghat, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Rush, Cheap Trick and many others continue to rock out their classic tunes.
