Which movies that came out in the 2000s will be legacies for generations to come?
I feel that there are a select few movies (out of all the movies that have ever come out) that people will remember forever. One of these is The Wizard of Oz. Another might be the original Star Wars trilogy. These are just my opinions. A while back, I believe we crossed into a new era of film-making. It's no longer the 20th century, and color film is not only nothing new, but we have moved on to 3D movies in the theaters as well as at home. Do you think there have been any noteworthy movies since the turn of the century, that will be remembered for a long time to come? What makes this/these movie(s) so special? Is it some special effect that had never been used before? Did the movie take on a difficult or controversial subject? Share with us which movies from the 2000s you believe will or already have made history.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking:
Last King of Scotland
Avatar
Hotel Rwanda
No Country for Old Men
The Dark KNight
It's really hard to say how impactful some of the most noteworthy films of the decade are and how long they will be respected down the road. What I've listed so far doesn't even completely sit well with me.
