It's chatty, sarcastic and funny with quirky characters and just enough touching moments to slow things down and get you attached to them. It doesn't take many episodes before you're hooked, and it'll make you want to live in their little town just so you could attend the nutty town meetings and outdoor festivals.
The key to this show is that almost all the characters are interesting and endearing in their own way so it doesn't rely completely on one or two people to carry the episodes.
While it has been great to see so many of the actors move on to enjoy success in other things since Gilmore Girls ended, I always think of them in terms of this show that I've liked so much.
