My favorite team is the Philadelphia 76ers. I know they are bad this year but I grew up watching them. The first star of that team in my youth was Dr J, Julius Erving. I was blessed to see him play and then watch the team win a championship in 1983. They've had some good teams since then and players with Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson, but haven't been able to win another championship since then.

My favorite Basketball team was the Seattle Supersonics but they are now the Oklahoma City Thunder...I'm depending on continuing to follow...although they moved...I like to stay at home and cheer for the home team...so maybe I am just out of luck for basketball... :(

Growing up in Southern IL I was a huge Chicago Bulls fan but this was also during the Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen era. Then I moved to Los Angeles and was forced into becoming a Laker fan which is only excited during the NBA finals. I prefer to watch college basketball and continue to cheer from my alma mater, SIUC/Southern Illinois University. Go Salukis!
