You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The iPhone is excellent. It has a good controls and the screen on the iPhone is fantastic. The combination makes for the best right now.
T-mobile's G1 uses Android. I would say this is a very close runner up to the iPhone and could pass it next year. Right now Android is really only available on the G1 so considering that screen viewing internet content is good but not as good as the iPhone. Very close though. For the money the G1 is the way to go as the phone is a bit cheaper and the plans are much cheaper than AT&T. I think you are going to see many changes to Android next year so this could be the start of an Apple vs. Google battle in which we benefit greatly.
My opinions from using an iPhone a bit and owning a G1. And from 7 years of using WinMo.

M$IMHO iPhone/iPod touch OS is where it's at right now. The experience is just head and shoulders above the others. The scrolling, zooming (both pinch and doubletap), and quick rotation to landscape viewing make the web something that is *finally* really usable. Everything that was before it was just a joke.
The only question that remains is whether Apple will be able to stay there as the best browsing platform. I think they will. I think Android will will come close, but they will succumb to feature bloat in the effort to compete. (I could be wrong, but I suspect this is what will happen.)
Right now, the way pages are so well formed, and the way there's none of that flash junk spoiling the page, makes the iPhone experience a good one. ..the multitouch navigation on top makes it very very good.
