Which holiday traditions are out of practice?
What used to be the traditions on Christmas? Are there any old traditions for Christmas that are back in style?

Maligayang Pasko (Merry Christmas), @malibub!
We may differ in holiday traditions but as I have observed in our own country, greeting strangers with Merry Christmas seem to become an old thing in the past. It seems people have just become so forgetful that one essence of Christmas is to show good to everyone and greet everyone they meet on the streets with Merry Christmas (after this people get so busy with work though Catholics and those who believe Christmas are reminded to live in the spirit of Christmas at all times). It seems that people are too afraid of strangers now or they have trained themselves well to become ignoring to the people they meet.
In our predominantly Catholic country, we still have the lanterns and other Christmas decorations, caroling, Gift Masses (Misas de Aguinaldo – that many people would complete in belief that their personal wishes would be granted) which is a 9-day celebration, Christmas Eve mass (Misa de Gallo) then enjoying the Nochebuena, exchanging of gifts, parties and a longer vacation to meet the friends and loved ones.
