Which game system do you use and why? (Nintendo Wii, Playstation, Sega Genesis, Xbox, Xbox 360 etc.)

It continues to evolve and impress, especially with the releasing of the NXE(New Xbox Experience). They've added a slew of great and new features and the one I'm finding to be the best is the Netflix integration. It streams movies and some are in HD directly to your Xbox 360 with no lag(depending on internet connection). The library is small, but that will easily change in the future. For $8.99/m, you get one rental and unlimited streaming. It's definitely the feature a lot of people have been waiting for.
Although I am only using my Xbox 360 right now, I plan on getting a PS3 in the next few months. The one feature there I'm looking forward to trying out is the newly released PlayStation Home(in beta).
And lastly, the one game for the Nintendo Wii I'm really looking forward to is MadWorld, which is all in black and white with red blood(think Sin City) and will hopefully be a great game, but still early to tell.

M$My Xbox 360 is for those games that simply demand to be played on a console: Guitar Hero, which was until recently console-exclusive; Gears of War, which I actually bought an HDTV for... >.> Also, Xbox Live is pretty fun. I like to see what my friends are playing, achievements are addictive, and my hard drive is stuffed with demos. If what you want is a console, this is hands down the way to go. The enormous selection of games (which includes backwards compatibility with select Xbox games), the online social environment, the graphics capabilities, combined with the new price point ($199!) make it pretty much the only obvious choice.
My Nintendo DS is for my purse. All of the mini-games, puzzle games, word games, sudoku games, etc. make it handy while waiting at car washes, doctor's offices, WotlK midnight launches... It's basically replaced the book I always used to carry. I don't think that's a good thing.
My PSP is on my bed. Yes, I sleep with it. While falling asleep, I check emails on it, read ebooks, watch movies (even though my TV is right there), and play games like Puzzle Quest till my eyes are bugging out of my head.
My Wii is in the living room and literally never gets played, like ever. It was bought for Zelda and that's it.
The PS3 is something I would like to have if I ever just randomly have $500 lying around. A majority of the PS3's games are also available on Xbox 360 and there aren't enough exclusives to justify forking over that amount of cash. The price of Blu-Ray players has gone down enough that the PS3's player is no longer a selling perk.

M$I've owned, a Nintendo, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, Xbox and now 360 and Wii.
I really wish Sega would make consoles again, they really had the best systems.

M$When I was in elementary school my friends had Sega Genesis' and I had none.
When I was in middle school my friends had Super nintendo's and I had none.
When I was in college my friends had Playstations and Xbox's and I had none.
To be honest I was just never a big gamer, I would play at friends houses, sometimes but usually I liked to sit down on my own and play more involved games on the PC like Civilization and Sim City.
The only time I broke down and bought a console was in high school, around grade 11, my friends and I ran found a discount store a Nintendo 64 for $70 (at the time they were $300) I bought the console (because I had a job) and we went out and bought GoldenEye 007!

We played that for 48hrs straight on weekends, and never bought a 2nd game. I still have that system somewhere sitting at my parents house, maybe I'll retrieve it next time I visit and hook up for old times sake.
Otherwise, I still use the ol PC for my gaming needs, the Civilization series is still the best out there, otherwise I try not to spend much time gaming.

M$I play Xbox 360 mostly, for a number of reasons:
1. The fair price point was immediately enticing for me. I purchased an Xbox 360 "Elite" (which came with the high definition HDMI cable) for $200 from a local GameStop. Normally, though, an Xbox 360 Arcade pack is only $200. The games look stunning in HD.
2. The sheer number of highly rated titles for more hard-core games in my favorite genres (role-playing, FPS, survival horror, action) on the Xbox 360 trumps both the Wii, and PS3.
3. Xbox Live is a moderately priced $7.99 a month, and is a fun way to play games online with your friends. It is also a fairly stable system.
It all comes down to what your tastes are. If you have young children or are interested in playing videos games in large groups at home, perhaps with a family, you may want to consider the Nintendo Wii. In my opinion, with its $350.00 price tag and stunning lack of games, there is no real reason to consider owning a PS3 at this point.

M$According to research from GameVision's Consumer Intelligence Report, using a Wii remote caused an energy expendature of 156% above resting and a normal remote used just 60% more energy.

Oh yeah... reading what Pumkin wrote, I forgot to mention PC gaming. I'm really more of a console gamer than a PC gamer, BUT I have spent many, many hours using my PC for gaming for months on end playing such games as City of Heroes/Villains(a very awesome MMORPG and it's still going strong after 4 years of being active), the Unreal Tournament series(one of my favorite franchises and easily one of my all-time favorite first-person shooters), Call of Duty series(another great FPS that I've been playing since the first one) among other great games.
They say PC gaming is dying? I have to disagree. There are still lots of great games, even old ones to this day(like the original Unreal Tournament) that still has a very strong community and active servers.
Honestly, I really don't think PC gaming will ever die, as long as developers keep on releasing great games, like Diablo 3 for instance.
Long Live PC Gaming!
