Which foods are high in Potassium?

Please provide a list of known foods that have high potassium and briefly state their benefits..

The following list provides food sources of potassium:

dairy foods (milk, cheese, yogurt)
fish
fresh fruit
legumes (beans)
meat
poultry
fresh vegetables
whole grains (breads, cereals)

"It is specifically found in apricots, avocados, bananas, black strap molasses, brewer's yeast, brown rice, dates, dulse, figs, dried fruit, garlic, nuts, potatoes, raisins, winter squash, torula yeast, wheat bran, and yams.
Herbs that contain otassium include catnip, hops, horsetail, nettle, plantain, red clover, sage, and skullcap."

"Potassium is needed for hormone secretion. The secretion of stress hormones causes a decrease in the potassium-to-sodium ratio both inside and outside the cells. As a result, stress increases the body's potassium requirements."

Bananas are, but prunes also have a very high potassium content - I ate prunes when I was a runner and needed more potassium then.

Banana, apparently you can OD on Potassium if you eat too many. I don't know how many too many is though, so don't try eating too many.
