There are a massive 29 Godzilla films.
The Marx Brothers had 16 films.
There are 13 Mothra films
and 13 Muppets films.
There are 12 Friday the 13th films.

and last but not least there was 10 Shaft movies
So yeah, there are a bunch of huge franchises, most of which kept driving well past their prime. But if you've got a great story and unique characters, the possibilities are boundless I suppose.
