Any type of aerobic exercise is great for your heart; things like running, skiing, walking, jump rope, dancing... You don't necessarily need any equipment for these exercises, although I would recommend investing in a good pair of tennis shoes (such as nikes or asics). It is optimal to work out for 20 minutes for 3 or 4 days each week to maximize heart health.
