Which Episode of NPR's "This American Life" included a live theater performance of a man and a woman having a "meta-conversation"?
It was an episode from the radio show, and I believe it was the final act of a show from the last three years. In it, there were two actors who were a couple. They had an argument, but instead of saying actual lines of dialogue they said descriptions such as:
Man: Wildly exaggerated claim
Woman: Mildly interested response
Man: Ridiculously exaggerated statement
Woman: Bemused disbelief

You're looking for the episode "20 Acts in 60 Minutes" (episode 241) from 2003. The skit in question was from a group called the Neo-Futurists. The Neo-Futurists gave them the idea for the episode with their show "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind", which was made up of 30 shows in 60 minutes. You can listen to the episode from the link below. The skit starts around 24:30.
