So to answer your question, it depends more on the neighbourhood and your income than the country as to what your life will be like.
But overall I guess perhaps the worst places on the planet for the average person that lives there are North Korea, the Democratic Republic of Congo and maybe Zimbabwe. These are very poor, violent and repressive places, though maybe Zimbabwe is getting better.

M$Now as to where I'd rather die than live, that would be anyplace that snowed and was icy cold most of the year. I would literally rather die than live in a place like that.
