Which countertop water filtration system would you recommend?
currently interested in the LivingWaters 4-Stage Countertop at
mrwaterfilter.com. Although I've seen a similar but less expensive
model at pure-earth.com (Model CTD-CB). So many different filtration
methods, it can be confusing.

That said, I've seen a lot of shopping sites like Shopzilla and NexTag carry similar items from AllergyBuyersClub.com...they seem like they would have a unique and relevant perspective on which filtration systems you might want to buy. Nothing similar to your favored filter for less dough on first glance, but, just a thought...

The KDF-55 filter which removes chlorine (not just taste and odor) and other things (http://www.kdfft.com) definitely has my interest.
I would like a second filter cartridge as well (both products I mentioned have two), but I'm still considering my options as far as the filter media in the 2nd filter container. I'm likely to go with something like the less expensive model as mentioned. I'm not sure that I need the ultrafiltration that the Ster-O-Tap provides.
Lastly, I don't want a filtration system that pre-filters the water into a container that you then have to wait to refill once it is all used.

I don't see any details on the filtration media such as KDF, Carbon, etc. Also it looks like this system actually stores the water. The two I mentioned do not store the water, they simply filter real-time to your cup.
