I think that the coolest Audi model by far is the Audi R8. It's a mid-engined exotic car that is available with either a V8 or V10 engine. In my opinion, it's one of the best cars in the world, and can compete with many of the great sports cars that are out there including the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Aston Martin Vantage and others. It also competes with cars that are significantly more expensive including the Ferrari 458, Ferrari California and the Lamborghini Gallardo. In fact, the V10 engine available in the R8 is actually a detuned variant of the Gallardo V10 engine.
The R8 has a truly unique look, and I've heard many people say that it's one of the most beautiful cars out there. With the large vents and unique shape, there really isn't another car like it out there. The carbon fiber side blades are also an interesting design feature that I've never seen on any other car.
