Which apps would you recommend to someone that just got their iPhone?

I happen to know that @hillo just got her hands on her new iPhone.

What apps would you recommend for her and others that just got one?

I gave a list of some of the free apps that I like most in this answer:

Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here are Gizmodo's Must Have Apps: (ALL FREE!)

http://gizmodo.com/tag/iphone-apps-directory/

I recommend the majority of them with the addition of "PhoneFlicks" (netflix mobile), "Slacker" (internet radio), "Mint" (online budgeting), "myWireless" (pay your AT&T bill all over the phone), "Last Call" (app tracks your blood alcohol content), "Tap Tap Revenge 2" (Like guitar hero for the phone), "Sol Free" and "Sudoku" (free solitaire and sudoku), and "Kindle" (Amazon Kindle app),"Offender Locator Lite" (track sex offenders near you), "Lemonade Tycoon" (old school game from EA that's FREE), "Unblock Me Free" (great puzzle game with hundreds of levels for free), "Booyah Society" (for the achievement w***e in all of use, get achievements for everyday tasks), "Scramble" (Like Boggle, but more fun), "World 9" (Jump around and the phone will make Mario Jump noises when you jump!!!), "Oregon Trail: Free (Nice trial of one of the iPhone's best games), "Chipotle Online Ordering" (Order Chipotle remotely, mmmm, burritos!), "iHut" (Order Pizza Hut from your phone), "Discovery Channel" (Watch Discovery Channel extra videos on your phone)

These aren't all new apps but they will keep you from getting bored for sure!!!!

It would help if you explained what it is in your answer. People haven't got time to watch every video and click through evey link just to see if it's something they're intereseted in.

PicPosterous for posting photos to a variety of locations
Facebook for keeping up-to-date with your FB friends
FriendFeed for a combination of all the various social media feeds
Flixster for looking up movie info
Kindle for reading eBooks (there are a lot of free books on Amazon)
SnapTell for looking up product information to match the best prices locally and online.
9-Toolbox for variety of "tools" like a unit converter, a tip calculator, and a level
LoseIt to track daily food intake and exercises
Harbor Master (a very fun and addictive game, like Air Traffic Controller)
Pixel Perfect for adding a variety of filters to photos
PanoLab for taking panoramic photos.

The above apps are all free.
