M$But, it does work but it takes 8-12 hrs to run the scan itself.. So I select specific folders to scan.. to make it shorter.. in segments...... Avast.com ... I too would like to hear of any better, as well of a good reliable firewall.. But, for my low ram computer Avast has done the best performance. I just run it when I sleep :) ... but if it finds a virus then it stops it.. and makes a loud siren noise if you have it turned up but you can disable those sounds.. First time I did that I scared both me and my mother out of a dead sleep lol ..
I was thinking about Microsofts Essentials package.. Where you remove all virus scans, but I am not sure how well that protects or defends.. It replaces their Windows Live One care scan.. .. Their online scan is not to replace the one that is on the computer at all times of course.. but I can run this in 2-4 hours on my low ram machine and it has corrected many issues..
