Where's the best place to find a supportive halter bra?

Since summer is just about here, I am on the hunt for a halter bra to wear under my halter tops. Most of the shirts I have tie around the neck, and the top half of my back is bare. I am looking for a bra that will be supportive, but won’t show much, preferably not at all. I was hoping to find something at Lane Bryant, being a bigger woman the typical stores can’t handle what I have. So any suggestions would be much appreciated, online stores are fine, but in store would be best. If possible please include pictures and prices!

Thanks!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I do know that Lilyette makes a good convertible bra that has the halter option.
Lilyette bras are usually found at department stores.

To go and try this bra on in person, just call up the closest JCPenny or a similar style Department Store and they should carry this style (929). Lilyette is a part of Maidenform.

If you can't find it to try on locally... you can always pick it up at Her Room.com. for $24.75.

I personally recommend the Victoria's Secret BioFit 7-way bra. It's the best bra I've found that can be worn halter without sacrificing support for bigger cup sizes. The support scales based on size; for D/DD cups, extra mesh is added and the front and back are widened for additional support. And of course it has underwire cups.

From the website: "Feels custom-made. 7 ways to wear it: strapless, one strap, halter, classic, v-front, crisscross or crossback. Revolutionary fabric comfortably adheres to stay in place. Also comes with clear straps.

- D-cup: Power mesh for soft, firm support, plus wider back band for even more support and comfort.
- DD-cup: Power mesh for soft, firm support, plus wider front and back band for even more support and comfort."

If your cup size is bigger than that, I did also find a few other options:
- Avenue 5-in-1 Solutions Bra
- Chantelle Sensua Strapless Underwire Bra
- Panache Inferno Convertible Plunge Push-up Bra (way cute one)

I was at JC Penny and they have bras that can be worn more than 20 ways plus they have the wider straps for more comfort and support.
