Where/how can I sell my baseball cards?

I recently stumbled upon my baseball collection from my childhood.  I am looking to sell the cards but don't know where to start.  Any websites, or people you can recommend would be beneficial.  Ideally I would like to have more than one appraisal done just so I have a "ballpark" figure (don't hate me 'cause i'm punny) of their worth.  The more information I can have about the cards and how to sell them the better.  I don't want someone to take advantage of me because I'm a girl.
Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Just so you know, Beckett is the bible for Baseball and Football cards.  You need to research the types of cards you have with the guide.

Also, just so you know, even before this economic downturn the baseball card market was very weak.  What cards were popular and expensive 20 years (or even 10 years) ago are not now.  Unless you have highly sought after rookie cards, you most likely won't get 10 cents on the dollar.  Good luck.

Your best bet is an auction site. If you list them properly then people will bid accordingly, fetching you a reasonable price. Most will recommend ebay, but it has high fees. A site that's cheap is wigix.com. They have "category experts". It is their job to answer any and all questions you have in their category. If you're interested message me and I'll explain more, otherwise Id say stick with ebay.

To add on to this, you can always sign up for wigix to get your questions answered, then choose to sell them somewhere else.

I am a category expert in wigix, however, under a different category

Dude!  Do you even need to ask?  The best place to get the best money
for ANYTHING is at auction -- the bigger the auction the better.

And where is the biggest, most-popular auction.

Simple --> EBAY.

Good luck!
