Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I was at college, nursing a massive 2-day hangover from my 21st birthday on the 9th.

I had an 8am class, piggybacked by a 9 (or was it 9:30am) class. By the time I walked into class #2 there was this quiet freshmen kid who stood up before the professor even got there. His buddies were budging him, saying "You've got to tell them, they don't know..."

When he first said that a plane (only one plane by then) had hit the WTC, I felt terrible, but didn't *get it*. So we sat in class for another hour.

And when we left.....walking out into that college courtyard packed with students...it was silent. I mean, hear a bird squawk silent. Nobody said a word, just a lot of crying and blank faces.

I ran home to my dorm room and turned on the tv and got there just in time to see the second plane slam into the second tower live on tv.

We were living on the west coast so I got a phone telling me to turn on the tv. I sat and watched the whole event unfold and cried. My husband was sitting next to me with his arms around me saying not to worry. But I could not help the concern because he was a national guard soldier and I knew it would eventually mean he would go to war. I saw my life becoming different from a future I had envisioned.
He is home now and safe, but with health problems for the rest of his life.
The military has somehow lost records that prove their responsibility in his medical change forever.

I was home and drove to school as quick as I could to bring my children home with me. We did not know it at the time but had a family friend in a tower.

I was in my home when I first heard the news, then at the mall when I heard another plane went down in western PA, about 200 miles from me. Actually the plane in NYC was closer to me, about 150 miles. Sad day

I remember watching it unfold wile I was getting ready for work.
I kept asking myself how are they going to fix that hole....When the second plane hit I was confused and could not comprahend what was going on.
I took the bus to work and the bus driver said they hit the Pentagon....
I arived at my office to a shocked staff.
All our lines were going crazy and our customers overseas kept calling and asking us what was going on.
Most of us went to the conference room to watch on TV...We said nothing to each other.
I waited for our CEO to contact us because our main office was is on the east coast.
By the time he contacted us most of us had left to go home.
I stayed until 5:00PM to answer questions from our overseas customers.
I then watched CNN when I got home until I went to sleep.

Till this day what I remember most of all was thinking how are they going to fix that hole.

I'm so sorry.
