The Candlewick is Cecil Green Manor at UBC, Vancouver, BC,Canada.
Most of the other scenes are on nearby Bowen Island. Apparently the Bowen Island Legion became the "Cannery" bar, and the United Church was the church used.

only partially correct. IMDB shows UBC but the series is almost entirely filmed on Bowen Island. A small island right off the coast.
