Where to see great examples of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in or near Chicago?

I’m a fan of great old architecture, and am excited to see as much as possible while in Chicago for a few days of my summer vacation...

I'd especially love to see some great example of prairie-style architecture, and visit some homes and buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. I know there is a lot of Wright's work in and around the Chicago area, but am wondering if anyone can recommend the best way to see it?

Are there any special tours available that focus on visiting homes built by Wright? I'd especially love an opportunity to see the inside of one, without having to sneak around at night and peek in people's windows :-)

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Frank Lloyd Wrights own foundation, http://www.gowright.org/; has a listing of all of the houses he designed in the United States.
In The Chicago Illinois area has a separate tour and listing of the houses that he designed. To list them all would be immense. But these links will take you to the Chicago Illinois tour and information that you are looking for.

The itinerary gives you names of the places exact locations. So you can either join the tour or do more research with the information.
I hope this helps.
