M$According to CNET News, the only place you can find refurbished Amazon Kindles is Amazon. Amazon recently released their 3rd Generation Kindle. With this release Amazon also began to sell refurbished models of the second generation Kindles, the Kindle and Kindle DX. The 2nd Generation Refurbished Kindle goes for US$139.99, whereas the DX model costs US$269.99.
Currently, they are not selling refurbished models of the new 3rd Generation Kindle.

You can also find refurbished Kindles on auction sites such as eBay; however, you should not purchase these. The refurbished Kindles in the Amazon Kindle Store have a one year software/hardware warranty--a hardware guarantee on a refurbished Kindle is huge incentive to purchase through Amazon.
