The San Luis Obispo Mission is located right in the middle of downtown San Luis. The address is 751 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California 93401.
The mission is located in a beautiful picturesque area near a small are of running water with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Also as it is in the downtown area, you can walk to the many restaurants and shops that fill the area.
Father Junipero Serra first founded the mission, in 1772. It was the fifth mission founded by him in California. The current building was built in 1773 – 1774.
Today the Mission museum and gift shop are open 7 days a week, as a working Parish you can still receive all the sacraments here and attend many events and community meetings. There are also two schools Old Mission School and Mission College Prep.
For more information you can call (805) 781-8220
