Hi @4sqrmayor , since the ipad arrived in the UK, it has been sold by several gadget stores. I would recommend that you buy your ipad from the Apple store in the UK. This is because the apple store UK usually offer a tax refunds to people who are eligible for VAT tax refund and you are also assured of its authenticity .
It is known as the Tax-Free Shopping which is offered through Global Blue. IO think it is basically for for customers who would be taking their ipads out of the European Union. But Restrictions do apply. You can read up on this here ;http://www.apple.com/legal/sales_policies/retail_uk.html.
Other places you can check is on eBay, craigslist, amazon and pcworld. On Ebay , craigslist and amazon, you would find some second hand or refurbished ipads for sale.
