Where is the biggest pipe organ located at in Detroit?
My best friend plays the organ for a couple of churches in Detroit, and he's traveled to Europe and played on the organs in some of the great cathedrals. He always talks to me about good organs versus bad ones. I never really understood the difference. I usually equate "good" with "big." I love a full sound on an organ, especially during a high Catholic mass. Where can I find the biggest in Detroit? My friend worked at St. Joan of Arc in St. Claire Shores, and that one was pretty huge. It's not technically Detroit, though. Can you find me a picture of a really big organ in Detroit, if you can't find the biggest? What's the church that hosts this organ like? What kind of organ is it? Have you heard it being played.
