As you may know, the Super Bowl is held on FOX. And with that comes a whole heck of a lot of coverage. Fox does a great job of covering the players and their lives to certain news pieces that involve the players and coaches. They load the pre-game with celebrities and other NFL players, and also add some musical acts. Their goal is to make it fan friendly for more than just the real fan. They want the show to appeal to all audiences.
For direct coverage without much of the extras, tune into the NFL Network, or ESPN. Their panel of experts will get you thru the morning and take you right up to game time.
