I was in the neighborhood and was looking for a place to grab a quick bit. So I decided to come here. What a delight!!! I had the best wrap I've ever had in my life. It was a falafel ball (2) with lettuce, tomato, turkish smear and hummus. They give u tanihi sauce on the side and if you like spicy, they give u this green sauce, yummy,yummy! It was so tasty and huge, especially for my size and appetite. The menu is simple but interesting. If your into this type of food, then this is your spot. The place itself is nothing special, definitely a take out place but they have tables to sit down. I usually don' t hang out this neighborhood but if you happen to be strolling around and looking for a quick, tasty meal, then this is your spot!! I had a lemonade with my wrap and it was good too. I will definitely return!!! Thanks Murray!!

This place has only been around for about a year but it is already one of the top places for falafel in the city. Haven't tried every thing on the menu but what I have tried has been very good. Especially the falafel, hummus, kafta and shwarma. The owner is a delightfully friendly guy and will sometimes hand out free falafels to people waiting in line for an order.
Pros: Falafels, Hummos, Friendly Service

They now have a new location on St. Marks Place, 22 St. Marks Place.
The falafel is amazing! The pita sandwich part is very simple but you can't beat their falafel balls. The price was raised a few years ago but I think a falafel sandwich is still $2.50.
The original location has been there since 1971. You can't beat the price!

It is a small place on 3rd Ave @ 43rd St. I think they are opening more locations soon, but the falafel I have had there has been great!

I have never had one. They look like a gyro though. Are they any good?
All those photos of falafel are making me hungry and sad.
There aren't any good falafel shops around where I live :'(
My vote goes for Murray's. When I was there a couple of years ago in a liquor fueld stooper, it was outstanding. Went back twice even.
Personally I feel that NYC is hard enough to get around and packed enough with decent places to eat that it's not worthwhile to go out of your way for a falafel wrap!
