Where is the best family beach in Santa Barbara?
For our trip to Santa Barbara, we would like to spend a day at a nice family beach. Any help is appreciated!

The Santa Barbara area is beautiful and there are many beaches that dot the shore. Many of these beaches are family friendly and have amenities such as restrooms, bbq grills and food concessions.
One of the top rated beaches in Santa Barbara for families is Leadbetter Beach located at Shoreline & Loma Alta Drs. and just to the west of the Santa Barbara Marina. Leadbetter Beach has bbq pits for your use in a nice grassy picnic area. The beach sometimes plays host to sporting events. You can also see people on catamarans and wind surfing.
Another great family beach is East Beach located at E. Cabrillo Blvd. & Milpas St. East Beach has some of the cleanest sand and is shaded by palm trees. Once you have had your fill of the sand and surf, take a little walk over to the small zoo and say hello to the animals. There is also a restaurant and a place to rent roller blades.
