Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Ramesses was buried in the Valley of the Kings, KV 7, although his mummy was initially moved into the 18h Dynasty tomb of Queen Inhapy, and then to the royal cache in Deir el-Bahari in the tomb of Penudjem. THe priests who performed the moved rewrapped the body (and the mummies of Ramesses I and Seti I, as well as Amenhotep I) and removed all the valuable materials (gold leaf, inlays, and jewels) in an effort to "protect" the bodies from "common thieves". It seems pretty clear that the priests were simply looting the bodies before anyone else did.

Ramsses is not buried anywhere. His body was stolen long ago and sold, spent some time in a Museum at Niagra Falls, and about 10 years ago was taken to a Museum in Atlanta, later in 2003 the body was returned to Eygypt and now is on display in a special glass case in the National Museum there. (Be careful that you do not confuse Ramsses#1 with #2.)

Ah well.. I have confused the two myself, you wanted info on #2 I see...there is plenty of info out there on Ramsses II have a nice day...
