Where is The Houston Zoo located?
The science class in the school I am working with is planning to take an educational trip to Houston. One of their itinerary is the Houston Zoo. I am one of the faculty who will be accompanying the students there. I am not familiar with Houston. I would like to know where Houston Zoo is located? What are the things that this zoo offers? Please include the directions and major landmarks near the place. Thanks!

The Houston Zoo is located in Hermann Park adjacent to the Texas Medical Center and the Museum District. There are two entrances to the zoo:
The Main Entrance and parking is located at:
Houston Zoo
6200 Hermann Park Drive
(formerly Golf Course Drive)
Houston, Texas 77030
713-533-6500
It is near Rice Stadium and the Children's Hospital. The zoo has everything you would expect from a zoo in a city the size of Houston. It also has great hands-on exhibits, a carousel, and even two baby elephants. If you go to their website at houstonzoo.org you can get details on everything they offer and driving directions from where you are. I hope you enjoy your visit!
