Where is a good place for electronics in Houston,Texas besides Frys?

I am driving to Houston this weekend and I am looking for an FM Transmitter, a wireless lapel microphone, and a power inverter for the car. No, the FM Transmitter is not the kind for your iPod. I am looking for a big FM Transmitter I can use for broadcasting. I'm looking for the cheapest price for these parts since I'm on a limited budget and used is fine as well.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hey @bryansays!

When I lived in Houston I spent a fair amount of time and money at "Micro Center" (1717 West Loop Drive South Houston, TX 77027) - which was the pre-Frys Frys, if you will. Great prices, often some pretty crazy specials, and a large selection of electronics and equipment. It's been a while since I've been there, but definitely a great place to check out. It's also right by the "Galleria" - which is a huge shopping mall/center with tons of foods, bars and shops to check out after you're done geekin' out ;-)

Ok went to Micro Center yesterday. Its a great store for computers but not electronics. Couldn't find a lapel microphone or Pro FM Transmitter. They had a power inverter but not a 800 watt version. Didn't have enough time to go to Fry's as well. I guess the internet is where its at.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been to this Micro Center but can't remember if they have the electronics I'm looking for. They usually have great deals on PC components and I even bought some parts to build my own PC from there. I'm definitely planning to swing by there tomorrow.
