First I’ll say one the best ways to find a great Mexican restaurant in Bakersfield is through Yelp.com. You can usually get all the information you want on prices, menus and better yet customer reviews on Yelp.
Just by looking at some of the highest reviews for Mexican Restaurants in that area, I can give you a handful to check out, plus their locations.
La Tapatia Restaurant at 617 Chico St. – This place got great reviews for their food, and affordable prices. They are open for lunch and dinner and have a full bar.
Daves Tacos – 2600 Chester Ave. – More of a small whole in the wall this restaurant gets great reviews for being most authentic and being affordable.
El Sombrero – 2731 M St. – Pretty good reviews, casual, full bar, and take out service.
Mexicali – 631 18th St. – As chain restaurants go, this one is pretty decent. Although it received mix reviews (as most chains do) It’s a great place to sit back have a drink and at least know what your going to be getting.
