Where does Rumi speak of having "no choice" in love?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Rumi brings up this interesting subject in "The Lover's Passion". The peom states:

A lover knows only humility
He has no choice
He steals you into the alley at night
He has no choice
He longs to kiss every lock of your hair
Don't fret
He has no choice
In his frenzied love for you he longs to break the chains of his imprisonment
He has no choice

This, along with a slew of other famous love poems by Rumi can be found in the collection "The Love Poems of Rumi", translated by Deepak Copra
