Where do you think Sidney Crosby's gold medal-winning goal will rank in terms of the most famous goals in Canadian hockey history?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

That truly depends on who you ask, and how much historical information they have when it comes to the sport. Clearly, a lot of people from the older generation will clearly say that Paul Henderson's decisive goal in Game 8 of the 1972 Summit Series with Russia may very well be the most famous goal scored. Others will point to Mario Lemieux in the Canada Cup back in 1987. The current generation will point to Crosby's winner as the beat all and end all.

No matter how you slice them, those are probably the top three goals in Canadian hockey history.
