Where do you get the food that you need for Indian cooking?

Does anybody know any low-fat curry recipes? Is Indian cooking low-fat?

The Indian foods are particular in low fat foods.
The important things that you need for cooking Indian foods are spices.please do search for these spices in the web.
1.garam masala
2.chat masala (tamarind, salt, pepper and red dried chilli powder)
3.turmeric powder
4.mirchi masala (pepper and chilli mixed coarsely as a powder)
5.spices like asefotadia(hing), ground pepper, lots and lots of spicy tomato with chilli mixed paste.

adding these spices to your normal cooking enhances your food taste to a spicy Indian style!

also to cook a few south indian dishes:
try DOSA...................prepare a very fine paste of rice(with water,salt)
take a pan and heat it upto fine temp. then pour the rice paste slowly with a large spoon and spread it out in the shape of a flat sphere.
pour some oil( I prefer olives) on it and let it simmer, after the downward side gets cooked, take a spatula and overturn the dosa to cook the above side.
then enjoy the dosa with any hot sauce or tamarind paste!

Like any other foods, Indian can be both low-fat and fatty. They have several dishes that include cheese and cream which will bring up the fat content. The dishes like chicken, veggie, and/or seafood biryani and many curry dishes are low fat.

At http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/recipes/low_fat/indian_curry.htm they have several. They have chicken curry, vegetable curry, and a few other Indian favorites. Here, http://www.fatfree.com/recipes/indian/ they have a huge selection of curries and more that are low to fat free.
