Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Most of the large chains like Jo-Ann and Michaels sell embroidery kits and low cost supplies. I would subscribe to both retailers e-mail, Facebook and Twitter or pick up the Sunday paper to get their regular 40% and 50% off coupons.

I have recently subscribed to Sublime Stitching on Twitter and Facebook. They have very cute designs. Don't forget Mahalo for Michaels Coupons and Joann Fabric and Craft Coupons.

I works for a number of years in a craft store, here's my little hint. When I am looking to start a new craft and I don't want to spend a fortune because I am not sure if I will like or even finish said project, I head to the clearance section of the store. Most craft stores have clearance bins at the ends of isles, near the back of the store, or simply and entire section devoted to clearance. Some stores will have bins of items pulled out on their sidewalk at various times of year. You can find samplers that are brand new but just a few seasons or so old.
You might also want her to start on a small project like an ornament or small pillow. Those kits tend to be much less expensive than the bigger more intricate samplers. Frankly, when starting out she will have more fun with something quick and simple and then move up from there.
