Where do I apply for financial aid at the University of Rhode Island?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here is the University's financial aid site:
http://www.uri.edu/es/students/finance/app.html

Universities (including this one) determine financial need, using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): www.fafsa.ed.gov, which calculates the expected family contribution (EFC).Trustworthiness:Vendor reliability:Privacy:Child safety:

You will need to fill out a FAFSA on: www.fafsa.ed.gov
When you submit the FAFSA, you can enter the school code of: 003414
You can see the list of aid options at:
http://www.uri.edu/es/menus/finaid.html

More details can be found at: http://www.uri.edu/es/students/finance/app.html

If you are 23 years of age or older, your automatically deemed an independent student by the Federal government, and will most likely have "Family Contribution dollar rating of 0, and you only answer questions according to that fact.

Many schools, however, will ask to see your family information to determine if you qualify for institutional scholarships. Consequently, simply being over 23 years of age or older does not necessarily deem you independent to the school.
