After the Pilgrims landed in Massachussets, and built a settlement they named Plymouth, they invited the Native Americans living in the area to a feast. The Pilgrims called this feast the giving of thanks, which today is Thanksgiving, the national holiday when we cook a feast to share with family and friends, and give thanks for living in this great land of freedom and liberty.
