2 years, 11 months ago about Video Game Deals

Where can you find the best video game deals on the web?

What are the best sites to find the best prices for the hottest games?
Which stores (online or otherwise) typically have the best deals?
Are there any sites you check daily or weekly?
Tip for best answer: M$3.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The fastest and easiest way to go is with Cheap Ass Gamer.

They include all of the weekly department store ads, amazon sales, and all other gaming store sales including the ones on the net. They also have a twitter account so that when they post something new or a great sale is going on you can get those updates.

Fantastic group of people and extremely helpful. They also have a forum for people who post gaming deals. You can join the forum and go into the trading section and trade too. It's the best for getting gaming deals.

The best place I find videos games online is ebay. Sometimes people forget about their listings and you can get newish games for .99. Ebay is cheap to sell and I'm pretty sure free to buy. Lots of times the games haven't even been used.

Toys 'R Us is actually a great place to buy games. For example, right now they have the game Blitz II for PS3 or Xbox 360 for only $9.98 with free shipping! This is less than half other stores!

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3340290

TrU often has sales such as this, with free shipping online.

GameStop is a great place to buy games. Right now, they have a Buy 2, Get 1 Free promo going on for all used games and accessories. Plus, a free shipping code to use online. They also have a promo of $15 off UBIsoft games.

http://www.gamestop.com/default.aspx

The best way to find out about game deals is to check a deal site like http://www.slickdeals.net or http://www.fatwallet.com for the latest and greatest. It's a good way to keep up with all the best deals and promos in one place.

I hardly buy from these big sites but smaller ones ( they are mostly cheaper )
Have been buying couple of times from this seller since he used to be in ebay, and match market price daily.

http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/carinso

He migrated to Bonanzle due to the high commission fee in ebay, I followed him and registered there, he gave discount on multiple purchases, fee shipping cost, and fast shipped to me, received it in 4 days. I was really appreciated.

Amazon.com is a good place to start, usually the prices for most products are generally lower than most stores. You can also use a comparison shopping site such as become.com to compare prices for specific video games. So far I've found the best values on Amazon.com, during the holiday season I would recommend shopping around a bit more.

Have you tried Steam?
Once you have an account with them, whenever you buy a game from them, it's registred in their dB.  Then, you dl the game from their site right onto your computer.  You can then go to a friends house and if they have Steam, you can login as you, dl the game and play it there, or on the road with your laptop, etc.
No need to save CDs/Dvds.  They also regularily have specials, 2hr deals, etc

I enjoy using Amazon, normally there are some really good deals, to the point were they sell about 10-20 dollars less than getting it at a store such as wal mart.
Craigslist is also a good site, of course, you should look at the game in person, to test it, look for scratches, or anything of that sort, sometimes people on there like to sell in bundles, because it's stuff that they want to get rid of.
One other site that I enjoy going to is playswitch, there, I'm able to get rid of any old games, but at the same time, I'm able to get more.
I hope this helped a little. :)

Besides ebay, I would say Bonanzle www.bonanzle.com

You can make offers to the sellers if you find the price to be to high.

also craigslist is a good place to find deals.

www.alsoshop.com is small but there are some really great deals to be found.

Some of the best deals I have ever seen has been on www.half.com/videogames, an ebay company and www.amazon.com. Each website will typically sell a game at least 20% -40% below what the retail price is at a retailer such as wal-mart.
