Where can one find a cheap hotel in Downtown, Seattle?

A friend’s sister and some groups of friends would be coming to Downtown, Seattle to watch Members of KT Niehoff's Lingo Dance Company perform solo around town. The performance will take place this month and she wants to know where they can get a descent, but cheap accommodation, of about $30 per night. They plan to also take a tour around the city and do some shopping. So a hotel that charges lesser when one stays longer, will be a great choice? Thank you.

Tip for best answer: M$0.75
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There is a hostel named the Green Tortoise Hostel and it is advertised as an "earthy, fun well kept Hostel".
The rates are $25.00 to $38.00 per night and they provide Internet. The have free breakfast available as well. There are two phone numbers a local and a toll free number. 888-424-6783 and 206-340-1222 are the phone numbers. There is also an email address that you can write for more information and perhaps to make reservations. The ocntact email is info@greentortoise.net.
If you wanted something a little more but still in the reasonable range, there is the Moore Hotel in downtown Seattle. Their rates start at $70.00 and run up to $92.00 and there phone number is 800-421-5508 or locally 206-448-4851.
This hotel is listed as not fancy but refurbished with large 1907 feel to the rooms.

Then there is the College Inn which has rooms for $50.00 to $85.00 and the phone number is 206-633-4441. This is in the university district and the rooms are decorated in a manner to attract a young visitor according to Frommers.
