Where can I learn how to shear a sheep?
Is it possible to make my own clothes from sheep wool? Are there any websites that discuss raising sheep?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

One of the best places to learn how to shear sheep would be on someone’s sheep farm. If you have any farms local to you, you could contact the owners and ask if they would be willing to give you some lessons. Most people are happy to share their knowledge to someone who’s interested. You could also try the local or state fair in the summer. A lot of children show sheep and are very adept at shearing.
It is possible to make your own clothes from sheep’s wool, yes. To do this though, you would need to put a good deal of money into the proper tools:
Picker – opens the wool and makes it consistent.
Carders – comb the wool and remove any left over debris.
Spools – to wind your pencil rovings.
Spinning frame or wheel - to load your rovings onto and spin into yarn.
Bobbins – to hold your finished yarn
Once you’ve got bobbins full of yarn, you can either knit or crochet almost any type of clothing that you wish.
Sheep101 is probably the most comprehensive site for beginners that are interested in raising one sheep or a flock. You can browse the site here: http://www.sheep101.info/sheepproduction.html
