Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Guidance Counselor can be talked to about your child being bullied in school. She is the right person to make an appointment with while the situation continues. The Guidance Counselor can talk to the bully and explain to him the consequences of his actions. The bully can be sent for Detention. Talking to the parents of the bully is also needed.

Perhaps, the bully is experiencing family issues that are beyond his control. Thus, the family trouble he has is being passed on to other people. Bullying in school can affect the child’s overall performance. His grades can deteriorate and affect his eligibility to go up the next level. The class adviser of your child can also be talked to. He can observe the situation first. The bullying has to stop.

I agree with contacting the guidance counselor. In this case it is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. If the guidance counselor doesn't do anything contact the superintendent for your school. You can also file a complaint at your police department. If that doesn't work contact your local news station. The more people you complain to the more likely you are to get something done.

Bullying is one of the common problems experience by kids while attending school. In the past, parents and teachers have dismissed bullying as normal occurrences in the kids school life, however nowadays, bullying have been placed in the priority list of school problems due to a survey that places at most 50% of kids experiencing bullying from their peers. There are several categories of bullying which includes, bullying through a use of force, bullying through use of profane or obscene words and lately, a new term known as cyberbullying.

With regards to your query on where to get the needed help if your child is being bullied at school, since you already have contacted the teacher and school principal on your kids situation, the best way is to bring it up with the school's guidance counselor, since they are the one's designated to address this area of concern. Furthermore, "keep in contact with school officials. If the bullying seems to continue, be persistent."
