Where can I get a copy Akuhead Pupule's "coconut wireless" radio tag?
I am trying to find the entire bit to use on my podcast (in honor of my tutus (grandparents)).

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You can find out more about copyright laws in U.S. Copyright Office - Copyright Law: Chapter 10 http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap10.html
2) If they can't provide you with the bit, then you might check out ReelRadio. ReelRadio has some longer clips of Aku that might have the complete bit on it.

3) Honolulu Hawaii Radio School (who names J. Akuhead Pupule as a luminary) might have clips of his show for educational purposes that would include the complete clip.

I'm not sure how legitimate they are, so you might also try some of the other Hawaiian colleges such as
Hawai'i Pacific University

M$here is the radio stations website with phone numbers/emails. I'm pretty sure they keep all their audio files recorded.

M$That is the only way I can think of how to do this, save from contacting the radio station.

M$This is not what I'm looking for. Did you listen to the clip or read the question?
okay I'm learning a little more, here are the lyrics to the whole song written by larry W. Jones (famous for writing over 3500 island songs. The whole concept of coconut wirelss, basically refers to the fast speed at which news and gossip travel on the islands, they call this effect "the cocnut wireless", it was also a phrse used to describe how the oral traditions were passed down through the generations.
Today, it has become to me quite clear
This is not just another tropical year
Our feelings are not just a fraternity
The love we share belongs to eternity
You may not hear it on the island radio
May not even hear it on the telephone
Might not be in the Sunday morning island press
Love will be in the coconut wireless, nonetheless
Yesterday I could have told you so
Our future was set a long time ago
Love as ours has a long time to go
Forever is time enough for love to grow
The mainland may sink into the sea
But islands were meant for you and me
So, listen to the coconut wireless, dear
It says love like ours will never disappear
You may not hear it on the island radio
Might not be in the Sunday morning island press
So, listen to the coconut wireless, dear
It says love like ours will never disappear
