Where can I find the cheapest wholesale diamonds or loose diamonds without being a jeweler?

I've looked on blue nile, ice, etc but it seems like their diamonds aren't inexpensive enough. I'm thinking about buying a diamond wholesale if possible and then going to a jeweler to get it set in the engagement ring. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

After about a week of online research, I recently purchased a certified diamond from loosegiadiamonds.com after seeing their ad online.

My goal was to get the best diamond for my money. My budget was $3500 and I went into the process fairly knowledgeable about diamonds.

I live in Manhattan and visited 47th street (the Diamond District) on several occasions but was A) not crazy about paying state sales tax B) not getting the deals I wanted.

I ended up buying a 1.27 Carat, J Color, VS1 diamond for under $3400. This was hands down the best diamond deal I found on the web. I spoke with a salesman on the phone 3 separate times and had the certification sent to me beforehand. Definitely the best diamond buying experience I've had.

Thanks - I was wondering about the diamond districts. Any advice on getting the actual ring built? If I buy the diamond separately from the ring, can I still get it insured?

You have already closed this question, but there is a very wide range of diamonds available on Amazon. They actually just link to other diamond wholesalers, but they use several, which gives you a good choice. Prices range from hundreds of dollars up to $500,000 !

You can easily find it through online Jewelry store who deals in loose diamond. However, it also helps you to create your own engagement ring.

As you have mentioned about Blue Nile and Ice, here are some more leading store. It would give you precise price for your loose diamond to set in your engagement ring.

If you are looking to buy a diamond at cost, you are not being realistic. Nobody on the internet or in your local store will provide you expert advise, inventory selection for free. Blue Nile has pretty good prices, but even better prices would be Abazias or James Allen. The internet will probably give you a great idea of how low you can go to get your gf the best without costing an arm and a leg.
